Born in 1991 in Opole Lubelskie, since 2007 she has been living in Lublin. She studied Painting at the Faculty of Art of UMCS in Lublin in the workshop of Professor Jacek Wojciechowski. In 2014 she received the Dean’s distinction award for bachelor’s diploma, then in 2016 she received distinction for master’s diploma. She is a laureate of two scholarship programmes: the Scholarship of the Rector of UMCS for the best students, and the Scholarship of President of Lublin for the best students and postgraduates.
She has presented her works at several dozen collective exhibitions, such as Autoportret w lustrze i inne wspomnienia, Biała Gallery in Lublin; Graduation Exhibition, Zajezdnia Gallery in Lublin; Młode Forum Sztuki Reaktywacja, Biała Gallery in Lublin; Graduation Exhibition, Labirynt Plaza Gallery.
In June 2017 the first individual exhibition of Małgorzata Pawlak titled Bez obrazy was organised in Labirynt Gallery in Lublin.
She is interested in both structural and semantic side of Painting. In her artistic work, she employs technical experiments to dialogue with painting itself, understood as a complex of ideas and symbols existing in modern culture.
