I am submitting my application to participate in the CreArt 3.0 River and Land Art Plein Air in Kaunas. My artistic practice explores the relationship between natural materials, memory, identity, and landscape. I am deeply interested in creating site-specific installations that engage with ecological awareness, local history, and the poetic dimension of natural environments. The Nemunas riverbanks represent a powerful cultural and geographical context. Through biodegradable and locally sourced materials, I propose to create an environmental installation that highlights the dialogue between water, land, and community memory. The work will be conceived to harmoniously integrate into the landscape, emphasising impermanence, transformation, and collective belonging. Participating in this initiative would allow me to contribute to the festival “Let’s Celebrate the River!” by creating a meeting point that invites reflection, contemplation, and interaction between citizens and the natural environment.

Project Proposal

Project Proposal (Working Title): Echoes Along the Current The proposed installation consists of an organic structure made of natural fibres, wood branches, earth pigments, and biodegradable textiles. The structure will be developed in direct response to the specific morphology of the chosen riverbank location along the Nemunas River. The installation will symbolically trace the invisible currents of memory and identity embedded in the landscape. By using only natural and biodegradable materials, the artwork will gradually transform and return to the environment, reinforcing the ecological principles of sustainability and respect for the site.

The project aims to: • Highlight the unique natural and cultural identity of the Nemunas riverbank. • Encourage public interaction and contemplation. • Create a temporary cultural landmark integrated into the festival programme. • Promote sustainable artistic practices aligned with environmental responsibility.
