Esther Gatón (Valladolid, Spain 1988) plastic artist. PhD with a rating of cum laude Faculty of Arts UCM. She was an Honorary Collaborator in the Sculpture Department of the UCM. She has completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts between the centers of saint-luc Liège Belgium, University of Barcelona and Complutense University of Madrid. She has published texts in El Estado Mental, La Raya Verde, editorial Nudo, Brigada Mixta and NexValladolid. She has developed projects regarding the artistic mobilisation of inappropiate spaces, such as Espacio Pool at La Trasera; Palique al Cubo (Blanco) at Javier Silva Gallery; cottage kilns, at CreArt (Network of European Artistic Cities); Grados, aristas at El Huerto del Tertuliano and Donde Fueres, Zorrilla, with Play Dramaturgia. She has conducted workshops such as Drawing and Action, together with Miguel Guzmán at espacio islandia, and is currently a teacher of “Art and Space” at the independent learning programme VEGA. Her work has been exhibited at institutions such as Matadero Madrid, La Casa Encendida Madrid, Picasso Museum Barcelona, cartec Madrid, Biblioteca Río Grande Brasil, Sala Las Francesas Valladolid, Rampa Madrid, Estudio Mendoza Madrid, Getxoarte (with Salón) and CENTEX Valparaíso Chile, among others.Esther Gatón (Valladolid, Spain 1988) plastic artist.
