Jana Lulovska is an award-winning interdisciplinary artist whose research-based practice is driven by curiosity and a deep appreciation for both humanity and the natural world. Working across photography, painting, printmaking, installation, experimental film, video art and animation, she explores the intersections of art, science and human experience, investigating, perception, cultural narratives and the ways emotional and intellectual experiences shape our understanding of the world.
Having graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” in Sofia, Bulgaria, Lulovska has developed a multidisciplinary practice that combines artistic experimentation with critical inquiry. Drawing on scientific thought, philosophy and social observation, her work explores themes including the human condition, feminism, ecology, time and movement. Through diverse media and visual languages, she creates projects that awaken curiosity, expand awareness, encourage dialogue and invite reflection on the relationships between humanity, nature and contemporary life.
Her work has been widely exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across North Macedonia, the United States, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Greece and other countries. She has participated in numerous international artist residencies, workshops and interdisciplinary programmes, while her
experimental films have been selected for film festivals worldwide. Lulovska has received recognition and awards in both the visual arts and filmmaking, and her artworks are
held in public collections in North Macedonia, Italy, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Her projects have also been featured in numerous books, exhibition catalogues and international film publications.
She is a member of the Association of Artists of Macedonia and is based in Skopje, North Macedonia.
