Kristaps Priede (b. 1990, Latvia)
Kristaps Priede (1990) studied at the Latvian Academy of Arts, earning a master's degree in
painting (2017) and sculpture (2021). He also obtained a master's degree in Art in the Public
Sphere at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland (2020) and
expanded his knowledge further in Switzerland and Great Britain. Priede has participated in
exhibitions since 2011, holding over ten solo exhibitions in Latvia and abroad, including
Great Britain, Switzerland, and China. He has participated in residencies in Switzerland,
Iceland, Singapore, Lithuania and the USA. In 2017, he was awarded the SEB Scholarship in Painting
and has received several awards.
