Mare Šuljak is an independent fine arts professional with a master
degree in painting.
Since 2008 she has been a member of the Croatian Association of Visual
Artists (HDLU). Since 2019. member of Croatian Freelance Artists
Association (HZSU). She has participated in numerous solo and group
exhibitions since 2001 in Croatia and abroad and took part in various
workshops and residences ‘Yurta and the lake’ Kyrgyzstan in 2018,
‘Inside zone’ Romania in 2015 and ‘Glo’art Belgium.
In 2013 her debut film “Site Selection” was selected for the Oberhausen
Film Festival’s official competition and for numerous other film festivals in
Croatia and abroad where it received two awards – Second Prize at the
44th Review of Croatian film and video (Đakovo, 2012) and Debutant of
the year on Days of Croatian Film Festival (Zagreb, 2012).
She lives and works in Zagreb.
