Ukrainian film and video artist. Graduated from Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains in 2020. Since 2022, PhD candidate at CY Cergy Paris Université and ENSAPC (France). Working mainly with archives, exploring the impact of modern technology and political ideology on constructing human relationships and art processes. Interested in variations in the perception of reality due to the effects of mass media and screen representation of identity shaped on the verge of different eras. Examining the challenges of reflecting the lived experience beyond contestable art conventions. 

The first solo exhibition of Nataliya Ilchuk took place at Vašulka Kitchen Brno in the Czech Republic in 2023. Her films and video installations have been shown at FID Marseille, DOK Leipzig, Documenta Madrid, Riga IFF, Vidéoformes Digital Arts Festival, Kyiv Biennial, CCA Glasgow, Plato Ostrava, DOCK 20 Museum, among many other film festivals, art centers and galleries, and have been rewarded at Viborg Animation Festival, Archivio Aperto, Mediawave, Juan Downey International Contest, Molodist Film Festival, Bucharest Experimental Film Festival. She has been awarded a Visegrad Scholarship as OSA Fellow and was an artist in residence at Light Cone, Lizières, Saari Residence, Cité Internationale des Arts Paris, Facteur de Ciel and Fondation Matrice.
