ART IN PUBLIC SPACE IN KAUNAS 2025 / ASCOLTATE
The XVI INTERNATIONAL ACCORDION COMPETITION “ASCOLTATE 2025”
I. ORGANIZERS. CreArt Network partner PE Artkomas, Kaunas accordion society, Kaunas J.Gruodis conservatory, Kaunas 1th music school
II. PLACE AND TIME. Competition will be held in Lithuania, Kaunas city in November 28 –29, 2025 at Kaunas J.Gruodis conservatory concert hall by address J.Gruodis str. 6 in Kaunas.
III. PARTICIPANTS. The competition is open for young accordionist’s of different ages – in any of the cities taking part in the CreArt | Network of Cities for Artistic Creation:
- Artists born, resident or domiciled in one of the cities in the project network: Kaunas (Lithuania), Liepaja (Lithuania), Skopje (North Macedonia), Aveiro (Portugal), Valladolid (Spain), Lublin (Poland), Venice (Italy), Clermont-Ferrand (France), České Budějovice (Czech Republic) and Oulu (Finland), Regensburg (Germany)
- Artists-members of HDLU (Croatian Association of Visual Artists);
- Ukrainian artists through our collaboration with Public Organization Lviv Artistic Council «Dialogue».
They can participate as soloists or as members of an ensemble or an orchestra. The number of the participants will be limited. The organizing committee will admit the first 100 application forms of the candidates from CreAt Network cities.
IV. COMPETITION PROCEDURE AND REPERTOIRE
It is a one - round competition. The lists will be made according to the age of participants.
The competition is organized: The usual way - live on stage; .
You won’t be allowed to make changes in your program on arrival.
Competitors will be divided into the following categories: (see info attached)
VI. JURY
The performances will be judged by an international jury appointed by the organizer. Most of jury member are from CIA (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes).
The names of the jury members will be announced prior to the beginning of the competition.
The jury reserves the right to interrupt performances exceeding the time limit.
The jury‘s decisions will be final and not be subject to appeal.
VII. AWARDS AND PRIZES (for participants perfomed live on stage)
Grand Prix – will be awarded for the absolute winners in each category. Diplomas, valuable prizes will be handed to Grand Prix winners and their teachers.
Diplomas and cups will be handed to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners.
Diplomas will be handed to the teachers of the laureates - for their highest professional skills (at the discretion of the jury).
The Competition reserves the right to the recordings of all live performances and concerts of the Competition without any compensation to the competitors. This applies to any format including but not limited to electronic audio, video and digital media, radio and TV broadcasts.

By completing the entry form, you agree that your personal data and images will be used free of charge and will be made publicly available on the Internet and in print media.
X. INFORMATION
All the information about registration and rehearsals will be sent out by e-mail with an invitation card by the 30th of September, 2025.
Travelling and accommodation costs are at the expense of the competitors and their accompanists.

For participants from CreArt Network parner PE Artkomas will cover participation fee
XII. ACCOMMODATION

Accomodation price for festival participants from CreArt Network 16 - 18 eur per person/night.
Participants will be offered to purchase meals for 7.5 EUR/person.
You will be able to apply for accommodation and meals after your application is approved.
