CreArt 3.0 NETWORK CELEBRATES THE EU MONTH OF CREATIVITY #HOWTOWEAVECITIES

CreArt Network with the support of Creative Europe will celebrate during May, The EU Month of Creativity with a bunch of open activities (Exhibitions, Festivals, Workshops, Guided Tours...) to promote creation and local talent in our cities. 

European Creativity Month 26 is dedicated to celebrate the 15 years of CreArt, a Network woven for citizens, a common space for Art in Europe.

CreArt Valladolid: celebrates the 13th edition of our Festival for emerging artists and cultural alternative spaces CreaVA 26  between 24 April and 30 May. For this edition we count on the participation of 24 local artists, plus the CreArt artist from Latvia, Laura Dzerve, 13 exhibitions, 3 concerts and performances, 4 guided tours and the participation of 2 School of Arts. 

CreArt Venice: celebrates the European Month of Creativity through an extensive program centered on the 108th Young Artists Collective, held at the Sala del Camino in Giudecca. The opening on May 5th will feature 37 young talents, selected through a public call that received nearly 200 applications. A key moment of public engagement will be the Open Studios held between May 4th and 7th, when the Foundation will exceptionally open its Ateliers at Palazzo Carminati and Giudecca to showcase the creative processes of the 28 artists in residence and the research of the Emeroteca dell’Arte, in a program curated by Camilla Mozzato. The events calendar will also include a special appointment dedicated to avant-garde cinema at Palazzetto Tito, featuring the presentation of Jonas Mekas' volume in conversation with Adrian Paci and a screening of the film This Side of Paradise, alongside a series of guided tours designed to connect emerging artists with both the local community and an international audience.

CreArt Oulu: CreArt European Month of Creativity celebrates international collaboration in Oulu on 4 May - 16 June 2026. From exhibitions and performative installations to pop-up events, community artworks and multidisciplinary encounters, CreArt Oulu activates historic landmarks, galleries, cafés and public parks across the city. The programme features local and international artists, crossing boundaries between visual art, poetry, music, dance and storytelling, while reflecting on belonging, borders, urban life and shared experiences.
All events are free and open to everyone. Welcome to experience art and creativity where Arctic city life unfolds.

6–31 May 2026: Veronika Cherednychenko (UA): Fenced Off at MABD Galleria
13–14 May 2026: Gym Ball Opera (multiple performances)
28 May 2026: What I Brought With Me (pop-up event)

CreArt HDLU: Festival of contemporary art in business premises – TAKEOVER. Emerging artists (Tin Dožić, Tea Stražičić, Petar Vranjković, Eva Vučković, Lana Zubović), selected by the curator Tea Matanović, will “take over” spaces within recognized companies operating in or related to the fields of cultural and creative industries (Bornfight d.o.o., Señor - dobro društvo za komunikaciju d.o.o., SKUP-A d.o.o., Večernji list d.o.o., Yammat FM d.o.o.).

CreArt Clermont-Ferrand: During European Month of Creativity, Clermont-Ferrand is showcasing local and European talents. The program features solo and group exhibitions, studio tours, and workshops where the public can try their hand at various creative activities. During the last week-end of May, the major local event Les Arts en balade will offer the possibility to meet with more than 300 artists all over the City.

CreArt Rouen: In Rouen, the festival Curieux Printemps is a vibrant celebration of live performing arts.It takes place every May and transforms the city into an open stage with events in public and cultural spaces.   The program includes theatre, dance, circus, music, and many creative performances by local and regional artists.
Designed to be accessible to everyone, many shows are free and open to a wide audience.

CreArt České Budějovice: In May 2026, České Budějovice transforms into a creative laboratory for children (ages 0-6), families, and educational professionals. The "Month of Creativity," in partnership with the immersive theatre festival "Jižní Svéráz," brings streets and parks to life with interactive performances, acrobatics, and puppets. Key highlights include "Family Saturday" with sensory play and toddler theatre, alongside specialized "Workshops of Creative Inspiration" for educators. Through art, music, and mindful play, we offer a safe space to exercise creativity as a muscle and foster deep, shared experiences across generations.

CreArt Kaunas: For the third year in a row, in collaboration with Kaunas artists and cultural institutions, we invite everyone to enjoy creativity and its outcomes during the EU Creativity Month.

Symbolically, the 2026 “EU Creativity Month” will begin at the traditional Kaunas fair “Pavasaris”. From May 1 to 3, amateur and professional performances will take place on two street stages, and from May 10 to 23, an international “Land Art” plein air event will be held.

On May 15, the painting exhibition “Letters” by M. Juodis and the process “Letters” will take place. The event “Let’s Celebrate the River!” will be held on Saturday, May 24. This is a large-scale cultural event stretching along the banks of the Nemunas River from Panemunė to Santaka, connecting various urban spaces.

At different stops, a wide range of artistic activities will take place – from performances and music to creative workshops and installations, actively involving participants. The event brings together a broad community and invites everyone to experience culture while moving along the entire river area.

CreArt Regensburg: The Month of Creativity in Regensburg is all about building a better future — together, sustainably, and artistically. The exhibition “A Better Future // Different Tomorrows” brings together international visions of the future, and the artists-in-residence, Martina Mezak and Manuela Pauk, are engaging with the citizens of Regensburg.
