The XVII INTERNATIONAL ACCORDION COMPETITION “ASCOLTATE 2026”
I. ORGANIZERS. CreArt Network partner PE Artkomas, Kaunas accordion society, Kaunas J.Gruodis conservatory, Kaunas 1th music school
II. PLACE AND TIME. Competition will be held in Lithuania, Kaunas city in November 27 –28, 2026 at Kaunas J.Gruodis conservatory concert hall by address J.Gruodis str. 6 in Kaunas.
III. PARTICIPANTS. The competition is open for young accordionist’s of different ages – in any of the cities taking part in the CreArt | Network of Cities for Artistic Creation: Aveiro [Portugal]; Valladolid [Spain]; České Budějovice [Czech Republic]; Clermont-Ferrand and Rouen [France]; HDLU Zagreb [Croatia]; Lublin [Poland]; Liepaja [Latvia]]; Lviv Artistic Council “Dialogue” [Ukraine]; Oulu [Finland]; Regensburg [Germany]; Skopje [North Macedonia], and Venezia [Italy], Artkomas, Kaunas [Lithuania];
They can participate as soloists or as members of an ensemble or an orchestra.
The number of the participants will be limited. The organizing committee will admit the first 100 application forms of the candidates from Craert Network cities.
IV. COMPETITION PROCEDURE AND REPERTOIRE
It is a one - round competition. The lists will be made according to the age of participants.
The competition is organized:The usual way - live on stage; .
You won’t be allowed to make changes in your program on arrival.
Competitors will be divided into the following categories: (COMPLETE INFO IN THE PDF ATTACHED)
The competitors of these categories must perform not less than 2 compositions reflecting different moods.
Jury will decide which two ensembles from all categories will get money prize. Two Grand Prix money prizes will be awarded.
V. JURY
The performances will be judged by an international jury appointed by the organizer.
The names of the jury members will be announced prior to the beginning of the competition www.ascoltate.lt.
The jury reserves the right to interrupt performances exceeding the time limit.
The jury‘s decisions will be final and not be subject to appeal.
VI. AWARDS AND PRIZES (for participants perfomed live on stage)
Grand Prix – will be awarded for the absolute winners in each category. Diplomas, valuable prizes will be handed to Grand Prix winners and their teachers.
Diplomas and cups will be handed to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners.
Diplomas will be handed to the teachers of the laureates - for their highest professional skills (at the discretion of the jury).
The Competition reserves the right to the recordings of all live performances and concerts of the Competition without any compensation to the competitors. This applies to any format including but not limited to electronic audio, video and digital media, radio and TV broadcasts.
VII. PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS

A copy of the bank transfer for the participant's fee is uploaded to the online tender application - No fee For participants from CreArt | Network.
A birth certificate or other proof of age must be available upon arrival at the competition and presented at registration.
By completing the entry form, you agree that your personal data and images will be used free of charge and will be made publicly available (www.kkad.lt ) on the Internet and in print media.
VIII. INFORMATION
All the information about registration and rehearsals will be published in website www.ascoltate.lt
The organizer does not take any responsibility for loss or damage of documents prior to receipt.
Travelling and accommodation costs are at the expense of the competitors and their accompanists.
