CreArt Valladolid opens a new call to invite an artist from the CreArt Network to present an exhibition project that will be part of the 12th edition CreaVA 25 to be held between April 25 and May 31.

CreaVA emerged 12 years ago as a platform to promote the works of young artists from Valladolid. Different exhibition proposals of painting, installation, photography, video, illustration, mural...are presented every year in the most diverse spaces throughout the city, such as shops, bars, creative incubators, cinemas, schools, public spaces, etc. ., turning the urban landscape into the best showcase to show the variety and quality of production and the local cultural fabric. Every edition counts on the participation of around 20 artists and exhibition spaces along the city, and guided tours are organized for the Opening. The CreaVA festival is coordinated within the frame of ppen events for the celebration of the EU Month of Creativity in May across the CreArt Network and has the supoport of the European Commission through Creative Europe.

ELIGIBLE ARTISTS

Can participant in this call:

• Artists under 40, born or currently  living in any of the cities that participate in ‘CreArt. Network of Cities for Artistic Creation’: Kaunas (Lithuania), Liepaja (Lithuania), Skopje (Northern Macedonia), Aveiro (Portugal), Lublin (Poland), Venice (Italy), Rouen and ClermontFerrand (France), Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic), Oulu (Finland), Regensburg (Germany). Members of Croatian Asociation of Visual Artists (HDLU). And Ukrainian artists thanks to cooperation with the Lviv Art Council ‘Dialog’.
• Artists working in the field of illustration and/or  photography with an exhibition project of maximum 20 works in A4 or A3 format.

 

CONDITIONS

Selected artists by the curatorial team will present exhibition in the creative incubator Galerías VA  

Organization will provide:

• Fee of 500 € for the participation in the exhibition
• Travel costs and accommodation to install the exhibition and be present in the Opening (from 23 to 27 April)
• Production costs. The works will be print and framed in Valladolid. After the exhibition,  the works will be shipped without frame.

The following attached documentation is required in a single PDF document:

- ID or passport (scanned copy)

- A short version of the curriculum vitae (maximum A4)

- Project exhibition including presentation text and the works that would be presented.

 

Only applications with complete information will be accepted. It must be submitted by 12th December 23:59h, 2024. CreArt Coordinator and curatorial CreaVA committee in Valladolid will inform all participants by email around 17th January

 

Participation in this call implies the acceptance of these rules and the commitment on the part of the selected artists to include in their CV and in all future communications (press, digital media, social networks...) an explicit mention of both ‘CreArt. Network of Cities for Artistic Creation’ and Festival CreaVA
