RAIR REGENSBURG SELECTS ISMAEL PELTREAU AND XU ZEHUI FOR THE NEXT CreArt RESIDENCE
We are pleased to announce the two artists selected by RAIR REGENSBURG for the next CreArt AiR Programs this summer:
Ismael Peltreau from Clermont-Ferrand (period 29th June – 9th August)
Xu Zehui from Venice (period 13th July – 6th September)
XU ZEHUI (b. 1998, China)
Lives and works between Venice and China. She graduated from the Painting Department of Accademy of fine art of Venice, where she studied under Carlo di Raco. In 2022, she participated in the Erasmus exchange program at Bath Spa University. In 2024, she received the First Prize at the 106th Collective Exhibition of Young Artists organized by Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions in Verona and Moscow, as well as group exhibitions in South Korea, Spain, and Germany. She has also participated in residency programs and international internship projects connected to the Venice Biennale and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection
ISMAEL PELTREAU
Ismael is a French artist, holder of a Bachelor's degree from EESI Fine Arts (2022) and a Master's degree from ESACM Fine Arts (2025).
His work revolves around research and exploration, presented through performance, installation, sculpture, and video. He intertwines his own life with the subjects he investigates in order to bring them into focus, using specific situations to address broader concepts.
Ismael has participated in several residencies, notably at Namas during the Lithuanian Cultural Season in France and recently at KIC in Skopje, both resulting in exhibitions. He was also part of the curatorial team for the exhibition /’kœr’/core at In Extenso in 2024. He has also exhibited in Meymac as part of the exhibition Première.
