The next stage of the “CreArt 3.0 #stringing_together” project implemented by the City of Lublin is ahead of us. On December 3, the seminar “Networking - Education - Culture” will be held, which will be an opportunity to exchange experiences between different communities involved in cultural education in Lublin. Participation is open to both listeners and exhibitors presenting their educational activities.

   - Cultural education is one of the five priorities of the city's “Lublin 2030+ Cultural Strategy.” Treating various forms of formal and non-formal education as important and complementary elements, the document identifies areas for action to prepare residents for valuable contact with culture. Engaging and preparing this group to fully and consciously participate in culture is also an important element of Lublin's application in the successful competition for the title of European Capital of Culture 2029,” says Beata Stepaniuk-Kuśmierzak, Deputy Mayor of the City of Lublin for Culture, Sports and Participation.

During the event, participants will look at selected good educational practices that are already implemented in our city. They will consider the priorities of cultural education in the coming years and what challenges they will face in the near future. The seminar will also be an opportunity to seek answers to the question of how to realize the vision of open, accessible cultural education, attractive to all young residents of Lublin.

For those involved in cultural education, the seminar will be an opportunity to learn about the activities of other entities, as well as to reflect on their own projects and their place in the broader context. For school representatives, on the other hand, the meeting may inspire new ideas and opportunities, and will put them in touch with partners who can enrich the didactic offer of schools and support their educational tasks.

An additional benefit for educational institutions is the opportunity to win participation in a project that will result in an artistic realization in a school building worth PLN 5,000.

All persons involved or interested in issues of cultural education are invited to participate in the seminar. It is possible to participate as a listener or as an exhibitor presenting their activities in this area. In both cases it is necessary to register through the forms available on the Warsztaty Kultury website. Exhibitors can count on assistance in organizing a venue for the presentation of their activities, in addition, each selected entity will receive financial support in the amount of PLN 500.

The seminar is held as part of the “CreArt 3.0 #stringing_together” project. This is the third installment of the CreArt project, which has created a network bringing together cities and public and private cultural institutions. Its goal is to support creative activity through the exchange of experiences and good practices and cooperation of artistic communities from different countries and with different cultural traditions, in the development of common methods of educating specific audiences and establishing a permanent and professional system of exchange and cooperation between artists and art curators. The initiative is implemented with the financial support of the European Union under the Creative Europe Program.

The seminar will be held on December 3, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the Ibis Hotel (7 Solidarności Avenue, Lublin). Participation is free of charge and the number of places is limited, so the order of registration is decisive. The lectures will be translated into Polish Sign Language, the venue is wheelchair accessible.

More information about the seminar can be found on the Warsztaty Kultury website.
