Blog Single

The Jury from Liepaja 2027 selects the following CreArt artists for the New Media Art Festival UPDATE (23 Sep- 23 Oct)

CARLOS MUÑOZ (Valladolid, 1993)

I am Carlos Munnoz, aka Munnoz, a "digital mix media artist", to label my work in a standard, although, I feel more identified as a "Storyteller", simplifying my day-to-day, we could say that I tell stories.
These stories are usually claims or social concerns, due to my past linked to non-profit associations, after perceiving the raw edges of society, also, thanks to belonging to a generation directly linked to the word crisis, living in my own flesh the blows that each one has been impacting my life. In art I found a refuge where I could
express myself and bring out those feelings in the form of usually artivist projects.
My profession and official training is as a graphic designer, with a unique focus on the use of animation, 3D, and new technologies. I try to reconcile it with the development of my artistic projects, both nurturing each other.

IRYNA LOSKOT (2001, Mirny, Yakutia/ moved to Kharkiv, Ukraine, in early childhood)

is a Ukrainian multidisciplinary artist. Her practice explores the exploitation of the environment and resistance to this exploitation. In her works, Iryna creates a shared space of
memory about humans and non-humans. Her approach involves evoking empathy for non-humans by revealing their presence in a person's individual memory. The
artist aims to undermine the anthropocentric view through images of blurring the boundaries between human and non-human experiences.
