Blog Single

The newly opened exhibition “Sensory Imagination” is now welcoming visitors at the Liepāja Secondary School of Music, Art, and Design gallery (Alejas Street 18). This exhibition offers an inspiring and interactive art space where diverse media, technologies, and ideas come together.

Here’s what you can explore:

Virtual and augmented reality works,

Installations,

And workshop creations developed as part of the media art and technology festival UPDATE!

The exhibition also features works by two international artists recently in residence in Liepāja. Spanish artist Carlos Munoz presents his experimental installation “Utopian Shortcomings,” while Ukrainian artist Iryna Loskot shows her series “Invitations,” exploring our planet’s self-destructive and self-renewing nature.

The exhibition is open to visitors from November 25 to December 6, on weekdays from 8:00 to 19:00.

Free admission!

UPDATE is organised by the association of Liepaja media artists ASTE and RTU Liepaja Academy Art Research Laboratory (MPLab). The activities of the association ASTE in 2024 are supported by the VKKF for professional non-governmental cultural organisations. UPDATE is supported by the Liepaja Municipality institution “Culture Department”, the VKKF, RTU Liepaja Academy and RIXC, a network for art, science, culture and innovation.

The event is co-organised by the foundation “Liepāja 2027 Foundation” and the European Union Creative Europe Programme project “CreArt 3.0 #STRINGING_TOGETHER”.
