FONDAZIONE BEVILACQUA LA MASA SELECTS TWO ARTISTS FOR THE NEXT CreArt RESIDENCE IN VENICE
The Curators Committee in Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa has selected the following artists for the CreArt residence in Palazzo Carminati between 14 September -and 19 October 2026:
- Maciej Jaszczyński (Lublin)
Maciej Jaszczyński is a theatre director and dramaturg. He graduated from the Theatre Directing department at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, from the film department of Ravensbourne University London and from the College of Artes Liberales at the University of Warsaw.
He made his professional debut at the Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw with Jubilee, based on Derek Jarman’s film. He is the co-author and dramaturg of Stairs, Stairs,
Stairs, a graduation performance by students of the Acting Department of the National Academy of Dramatic Art. His production of In the Solitude of Cotton Fields
was presented at the Forum of Young Directors in Kraków, Skomrahi 2023 in North Macedonia, and the FIST 19 Festival in Belgrade. Men’s Talk, a performance he co-created as dramaturg, was presented at Venice Open Stage in Venice, the Theatre Schools Festival in Łódź, the International Congress of Women in Brussels, and the Istropolitana Festival in Bratislava, where it won the Grand Prix.
He is the creator of LUBLIXPOL. A Guide to the Lublin Techno Scene That No Longer Exists, Because It Never Existed at the Centre for Culture in Lublin. He also took part
in the New Dramaturgy Stage project at the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów. He created the dramaturgy and video for Ivanov. A Man Who Sleeps at the Dramatic
Theatre in Wałbrzych. He worked as assistant director to Wojciech Faruga on Così fan tutte at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw and on Faust at the National
Theatre in Warsaw.
He is currently preparing a production of Romeo and Juliet at the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn, as part of the Young Yorick competition at the Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival.
- Barbora Dědičová (České Budějovice)
Barbora graduated at South Bohemian University - faculty of health and social care and she spent over ten years across diverse social services. She has strong passion for dance, gymnastics and music. She has realized that art and movement has a healing potential. In her work she brings together dance as universal body language, accesibility, participation, community engagement and meaningful relationships between people.
