KreArt – Annual Art Festival

This year’s edition of KreArt, the annual art festival, will take place on June 21st (Saturday), 2025 at the Youth Cultural Center (MKC), located at Kej Dimitar Vlahov No. 15, starting at 5:00 PM and lasting until midnight 12:00 AM.

The multimedia event titled “Macedonian Wine” will offer a unique experience that connects art, cultural heritage, and wine. At the venue, 8 to 10 wine barrels, provided by the Museum of the Gallery of Kavadarci, will be set up as live canvases for creating original works inspired by the theme.

Renowned artists Goran Boev, Tome Filov, Nikola Ivanovski, Ilija Dojkov, and Sara Milevska will take part in the event.

Visitors will have the opportunity to taste wines from several family-owned wineries, attend demonstrations led by top oenologists and sommeliers on wine-making, storage, and consumption, and enjoy wine-based cocktails prepared by professional mixologists. The atmosphere will be enriched with traditional Macedonian music.

Several artistic workshops and projects will be featured as part of the festival:

- Ljubiša Kamenjarov, sculptor, will perform a live clay art intervention titled “The Body of the Vine”, inspired by the symbolism and mythology surrounding Macedonian wine.

- Bojana Mandeska will lead a clay workshop in which participants will explore the material and symbolic qualities of clay, and its power to connect, calm, and express.

- Filip Matevski will present his educational project “Comics, Manga, and Modern Pop Art”, offering young creatives hands-on insight into these visual styles.

At 8:00 PM, in Gallery 2 at MKC, a formal opening will be held for the exhibition of the renowned Macedonian watercolor artist Zaga Malinkovska (1926–2004). The exhibition will be accompanied by a cocktail reception and wine tasting by Kamnik Winery.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a special exhibition of wine labels from various Macedonian wineries, as well as promotional design work inspired by Macedonian wine and heritage through contemporary artistic expression.

Additionally, artist Gordana Vinchich will create a piece titled “Kissed Grapes”, using acrylic on canvas.

For lovers of live music, Igor Stanoevski – Igiman and his ensemble will provide an unforgettable experience with blues, jazz, and rock performances, creating the perfect ambiance for enjoying Macedonian art and wine.

The entire event will be documented through video and photography by Kiril Shenteski.
